Goal

Push growth

This objective focuses on vigorous vegetative growth, strong foliage, active root development, and a dynamic start to the grow.

What you should know

If the goal is to push growth, it's not about feeding the plant harder blindly, but about creating an environment in which it can grow quickly, healthily and stably. Especially during the vegetative phase, nitrogen supply, soil activity, root zone and water management are decisive.

In Living Soil, growth doesn't mean just more nutrient input, but above all better processes in the soil. Microbes, organic matter, oxygen, consistent moisture and a good structure ensure that nutrients arrive in a plant-available form in the first place.

A sensible growth push therefore relies on a combination of active soil life, balanced nitrogen sources, a healthy root zone and an overall stable system. Too aggressive measures, on the other hand, often produce spindly growth, imbalances or later problems during flowering.

Why that matters

  • Promotes rapid plant development
  • Supports strong shoots and foliage
  • Strengthens the foundation for healthy later growth
  • Supports root activity and nutrient dynamics
  • Helps plants establish faster after transplanting

Common mistakes

  • Confusing growth with over-fertilization
  • Using too much readily available nitrogen
  • Neglecting root health and soil structure
  • Pushing plants too early, even though they are not yet established
  • Focusing only on products instead of system stability
