Gelato originated in the Bay Area from Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint GSC. The cross became known in the Cookies and Sherbinskis circles and developed into an entire family of numbered phenotypes. Gelato is therefore both a specific genetic line and an umbrella term for several selections that may differ in aroma, color and effect profile.
Aroma & flavor
The typical aroma combines sweet fruit with vanilla, berries and orange. Mint and cookie-like spice add depth to the dessert side, keeping Gelato from seeming merely creamy.
