Then there is the brand context: The Siggis line became publicly visible in connection with Sido, Siggis Pharm, MeinBlock and DEMECAN. For our test, this is merely background. What matters is what batch RR26-3 reveals in terms of buds, terps, taste and packaging.

Our 5-g pack leaves a mixed impression: The flowers look neat, are cleanly trimmed and have good residual moisture. However, the aroma and taste cannot fully match this good first impression.

The stated cross is Alien Cookies × Kush Mints #11. This exact parental combination is generally known as Cap Junky.

In addition, several public product databases list DEMECAN EPIC DROP CJ or EPIC DROP Cap Junky with the genetics Alien Cookies × Kush Mints #11. This is genetically very close to the information associated with Siggis Waldmeister.

It therefore seems likely that Siggis Waldmeister is also based on Cap Junky or is very closely related to this genetics.

However, we do not have a clear public statement from DEMECAN along the lines of “Siggis Waldmeister is Cap Junky.” We therefore do not list Cap Junky as a confirmed cultivar, but as a very likely classification.

Siggis Waldmeister makes a good first impression visually. The clean trim and fresh colour are particularly positive features. The bud selection was also neat: The flowers appeared mostly consistent and appropriately composed.

We expected somewhat more in terms of trichome coverage. With this genetics in particular, the flower could be noticeably frostier and more resinous.

Moisture and Drying – 7.4 out of 10

DEMECAN gets many things right when it comes to moisture. The flowers were neither bone-dry nor unpleasantly moist. The drying and maturity level also seemed well balanced.

There is some room for improvement in elasticity and stickiness. The buds felt less sticky than we expected from this genetics. The flower performed well in the grinder, but not exceptionally.

Aroma – 6.6 out of 10

The bigger question marks begin with the aroma. Siggis Waldmeister does not smell bad, but remains noticeably more restrained than expected.

The aroma is present immediately after opening, but is neither particularly loud nor deep. It becomes somewhat more pronounced after grinding, but does not develop any exceptional complexity. The name and genetic proximity to Cap Junky create higher expectations than our 5-g pack was able to meet.

This impression continues with the taste. The intensity is initially decent and the smoke remains smooth. The smoothness is particularly convincing.

What is missing is depth of flavour. The individual impressions do not interlock strongly enough and also fail to remain consistent throughout consumption. As a result, the taste comes across as more straightforward than complex.

Our overall impression was fundamentally balanced. Intensity, duration and the ratio between head and body effects were within the solid range.

The flower came in a Mylar bag with a humidity pack. This served its purpose: The residual moisture was good and the flowers appeared fresh.

The bag itself does not make an exceptionally premium impression, but it provides usable odour protection and adequately protects the contents.

Overall Impression and Distinctiveness – 7.0 out of 10

Overall, Siggis Waldmeister appears to be cleanly and neatly produced. We found no major flaws or unpleasant irregularities.

The issue is less about quality than about a lack of distinctiveness. The premium impression is present, but not consistent throughout. Aroma, taste and memorability in particular fail to leave a strong enough impression.

Siggis Waldmeister is not a bad flower. The appearance, trim, moisture and freshness are decent to good. The smooth smoke also speaks in the product’s favour.

Nevertheless, it leaves the feeling that more could have been possible. Alien Cookies × Kush Mints #11 is genetics from which we expected significantly more impact in terms of aroma, taste and distinctiveness. It is precisely in these areas that the batch tested remains too restrained.

Ultimately, this results in a solid rating. Those looking for an uncomplicated and cleanly processed product may be satisfied with Siggis Waldmeister. Terp fans and buyers hoping for a particularly distinctive Cap Junky experience should lower their expectations somewhat.
