Origin & classification

Bona Dea CBD combines three traditional Indica lines: Northern Lights, Black Domina and Afghani. The strain listed by Vision Seeds was developed with a comparatively balanced CBD-to-THC ratio in mind. We classify it as a photoperiodic, strongly indica-dominant hybrid. Approximately 85 percent Indica and 15 percent Sativa are stated.

Aroma & flavour

Around eight percent CBD and nine percent THC are stated for the cannabinoid profile. Both values are reference figures only, as actual concentrations vary with phenotype, cultivation, harvest timing and batch. The claim that the strain contains only low THC levels and does not cause a high does not align cleanly with the simultaneously stated value of nine percent. A more reliable classification is a CBD-rich strain with a still relevant THC content.

Terpene profile

The aroma combines pine with earthy and spicy impressions. Bona Dea CBD therefore has a classically styled, rather herbal profile without documented fruity or dessert notes. The effect is described as gentle, focused and calming. Physical relaxation and a noticeable body buzz are also reported, while the mental effect is said to remain comparatively light. These details describe recurring subjective impressions and are not a guarantee of any particular individual reaction.

Effect tendency

The flowering period is approximately eight weeks. As Bona Dea CBD grows photoperiodically, this does not represent the entire cycle from germination. An October harvest is stated for outdoor cultivation. At around 70 to 80 centimetres, the plants remain comparatively compact both indoors and outdoors. The difficulty level is considered medium, suggesting that cultivation requires a certain degree of attention without specifically requiring advanced techniques.

An indoor yield of approximately 300 grams per square metre is stated; outdoors, the general rating is medium. Such figures presuppose suitable conditions and can vary considerably depending on the setup. Bona Dea CBD stands out through its combination of recognised Indica lineage, short flowering period, compact height and CBD-focused cannabinoid profile. Its effects should nevertheless not be confused with an absence of effects or a guaranteed lack of impairment. In strain comparisons, it represents a more gently described balance of focused mental presence and calm physical heaviness.
