CBD Sweet and Sour Widow in detail
Origin & classification
CBD Sweet and Sour Widow was developed by CBD Crew as a cannabinoid-balanced expression of the White Widow family. A CBD-rich line and White Widow are named as the parents. We classify the strain as an approximately 70% indica-dominant, photoperiod hybrid. Its breeding concept is not aimed at achieving the highest possible THC level, but rather at nearly equal proportions of THC and CBD.
Aroma & flavour
Both cannabinoids are each reported within a range of 5 to 11%, corresponding to an approximate ratio of 1:1. Actual measurements can vary considerably between seeds, phenotypes and batches; cultivation practices, harvest timing and laboratory methods also influence them. The ratio should therefore be understood as a breeding direction, not as a guarantee that every individual flower contains exactly the same amount of THC and CBD.
Terpene profile
In terms of flavour, CBD Sweet and Sour Widow combines sweet, fruity and sour notes. Particularly striking is an unusual scent said to recall sweet onions. This savoury nuance sets the profile apart from many fruit-forward CBD strains. Dominant terpenes are not specifically documented. Recurring reports describe the character as relaxing and calming, while also uplifting. How this combination is perceived personally depends on sensitivity, quantity and the respective chemotype.
Effects tendency
The plants show strong resin production, recalling their White Widow background. An indoor yield of around 400 g/m² is reported. Cultivation is considered moderately difficult, with the plants reaching a medium height both indoors and outdoors. Outdoors, they prefer a more humid climate and are described as moderately resistant to mould. Nevertheless, this information is no substitute for careful monitoring, as air circulation, plant density and weather remain crucial for dense, humid flower growth.
Cannabinoids, flowering & appearance
The flowering time is approximately eight weeks. Outdoors, harvest is reported for late September to October, depending on location and season. Outdoor yield potential is classified only as medium and therefore cannot be reliably quantified in grams. CBD Sweet and Sour Widow thus combines three clearly documented characteristics: an indica-dominant White Widow foundation, resin-rich flower production and a cannabinoid profile aimed at balance. Added to this is its distinctive aroma of fruit, acidity, sweetness and an onion-like scent. This sets it apart both from strongly THC-dominant Widow variants and from CBD strains whose sensory profile tends to be more understated.
