Origin & classification
Dutch Passion developed Dutch Haze in response to the demand for an almost pure Haze with a shorter flowering period and useful yields. According to the breeder, hundreds of Haze plants from the USA and the Netherlands were evaluated over several years. The decisive selection breakthrough is said to have been achieved in 2009. An exact parental cross is not given, which is why the lineage field rightly remains empty.
Aroma & flavour
The strain is described as having a ratio of approximately 90 percent Sativa to ten percent Indica. According to the supplier, the small Indica contribution is intended primarily to influence flowering time and yield performance, while the aroma and effects remain clearly within the classic Haze range. This statement applies to the Dutch Passion version and should not be generally transferred to other similarly named Haze selections.
Terpene profile
The plants usually reach approximately 80 to 120 centimetres. They are said to produce numerous flowers richly covered with resin glands. The breeder promotes the yields as very high but does not provide a standardised quantity. The yield potential therefore cannot be stated responsibly. What can be reliably described is the abundance of buds and their pronounced trichome coverage.
Effect tendency
The detailed source gives nine to eleven weeks for flowering. The structured field narrows the period to ten to eleven weeks, although the continuous description explicitly begins at nine weeks. The broader breeder-based range should therefore be preferred. Outdoors, November is entered as the harvest time, although climate, location and the course of the season naturally influence ripening.
