Compost

Compost is a central component in Living Soil and forms the basis for stable soil processes. It is created through the decomposition of organic materials and contains a variety of microorganisms as well as slowly releasing nutrients.

A high-quality compost improves soil structure, increases water-holding capacity and provides a continuous supply of nutrients. At the same time, it supports soil life and contributes to the long-term stability of the system.

Compared with worm castings, compost is often less "active", but more suitable as a long-term soil-building input.
