Origin & classification

With Afterglow, Irie Genetics pursued a clearly defined breeding goal: The sweet clementine aroma from the Clementine parent was to be retained, while vigor, yield and potency were to be improved. Arise is documented as the second parent. This combination produced a hybrid whose profile is conveyed in the breeder’s description primarily through vigorous growth, fruity aromas and an upbeat effect.

Aroma & flavor

The plants are described as exceptionally vigorous and tall-growing. Stable, long side branches fill with aromatic flowers during flowering. This morphology distinguishes Afterglow from more compact plant forms and makes its pronounced vertical growth an important feature of the breeder-specific version. A flowering time of nine to ten weeks is indicated. This period refers to the flowering phase, not the plant’s complete life cycle.

Terpene profile

In some phenotypes, twisted or wrinkled-looking leaves may appear during mid to late flowering.
