Origin & classification
Amnesia 5 was developed by CBD Seeds as a cross between Original Amnesia Haze and One to One. The strain therefore builds on the well-known Amnesia family, while adding its own accent through its stated CBD content. We classify Amnesia 5 as a sativa-dominant, photoperiod strain associated particularly with Dutch coffeeshops and an active, sociable effect.
Aroma & flavor
The plants thrive indoors, in a greenhouse and outdoors. A flowering time of eight to ten weeks is stated; outdoors, the harvest window falls in late October. Indoors, they reach a medium height, while outdoors they are described as large. The difficulty level is considered medium. Amnesia 5 is therefore not a notably compact strain, but remains manageable under controlled conditions.
Terpene profile
Once mature, the plants produce large, compact flowers with a distinctly pronounced trichome coverage. In the grow room, approximately 400–600g/m² is cited as a possible yield range. Outdoors, the yield is described only generally as large. Such figures are not a guarantee, but depend heavily on light, climate, nutrition, growing area and phenotype. The combination of dense flower structure and abundant resin coverage is documented more reliably than a uniform result from every cultivation.
Effect profile
Aromatically, Amnesia 5 displays several bright and fresh layers. Herbal and pine-like base notes meet grapefruit and other citrus accents. This creates a profile that is simultaneously green, resinous-fresh and tart-fruity. The THC content is stated at approximately 15–20%, with around 5% CBD. Both values may vary between batches and phenotypes.
Cannabinoids, flowering & appearance
The effects are described as creative, sociable and energizing. A local account also associates the strain with a pleasant feeling of forgetfulness; this folkloric emphasis is not a reliable guarantee of effects. Rather, the recurring image is of a mentally pronounced, active Sativa associated with light physical activity and communication. Individual reactions differ. For us, Amnesia 5 stands out through its specifically documented cross, its citrus-grapefruit profile, eight to ten weeks of flowering and the unusual combination of moderate CBD content and a sativa-dominant orientation.
