Editorial profile

Belladonna in detail

Origin & classification

Belladonna was created by Pacha’s Select from Spooky Sunset and a male Lilac Poison specimen. The breeder’s description highlights not only the names of the parents, but also the intended interplay of their characteristics. Lilac Poison was selected for its floral, upliftingly described aroma. The mother was a selected Spooky Sunset plant from Cannarado genetics, which according to the breeder contributed a firm structure and less pronounced lateral branching to the cross.

Aroma & flavor

In terms of growth, Belladonna is described as particularly vigorous and distinctly vertical. The preferred test plants showed large distances between the nodes and formed tall, spear-shaped flower clusters. At the same time, the source highlights high flower density and a favorable bract-to-leaf ratio. These statements come directly from the breeder-related description and therefore refer to Pacha’s Select’s selection; they should not be transferred uncritically to other strains that are also called Belladonna.

Terpene profile

The aroma extends far beyond the brief baseline data “earthy” and “floral.” The breeder describes a striking lychee note combined with a synthetic, resinous impression. Earthy, rye-like and fuel-like facets are also present. The Spooky Sunset side is likewise associated with a dessert-like sweetness. The result appears floral and fruity, while earth, grain, fuel and chemical-leaning notes give it a deliberately distinctive foundation.

Effect tendency

For the effects, the structured dataset lists “uplifting.” The source additionally refers to a very potent hybrid effect, without providing cannabinoid values. Its potency therefore cannot be stated reliably as a THC percentage. Likewise, the reference to a terpene-rich sibling of the Lilac Poison male used does not justify concluding that Belladonna itself is guaranteed to have the same terpene content or terpene distribution.

Cannabinoids, flowering & appearance

The flowering time is recorded as eight to nine weeks; an additional source states approximately 60 days, placing it within a similar range. As with breeder-related cultivation data, variations due to phenotype and conditions are possible. No specific yield weight is available. However, the breeder’s qualitative statement describes the cross as particularly high-yielding and visually appealing. In this dataset, Belladonna is therefore characterized by its clearly documented parent combination, upright structure and unusually floral, earthy-fuel-like aromatic spectrum.
