Editorial profile
Black Bomb in detail
Origin & classification
With Black Bomb, Philosopher Seeds pursued a clearly defined breeding objective: a selected Black Domina was to be complemented by a male Tropimango for additional sweetness and production performance. The result is presented as an indica-dominant, stable and homogeneous strain with an 80 percent Indica share. For indoor flowering, the source states 55 to 60 days, corresponding to the recorded range of approximately eight to nine weeks.
Aroma & flavour
The plants develop explosively, robustly and compactly. Their branching remains comparatively limited, while the short distances between the nodes contribute to a stocky structure. Philosopher Seeds therefore recommends a vegetative phase of at least three weeks. The low structure is explicitly associated with Sea-of-Green cultivation; as a breeder-specific guideline, the source gives 25 to 30 plants per square metre. Increased nutrient requirements are also described between the third and sixth weeks of flowering.
Terpene profile
Outdoors, Black Bomb develops strong, compact and rounded plants according to the source profile. The very dense flowers require particular attention towards the end of flowering: Their sensitivity increases at high humidity, making dry conditions important. At the same time, the strain is presented as uncomplicated to grow and resistant to pests and diseases. These details come from Philosopher Seeds' profile and should not automatically be applied to different breeding lines with the same name.
Effect tendency
The flowers are described as bushy, firm and covered with a thick layer of resin. This also explains their explicit suitability for extractions. For indoor cultivation, the source gives 500 to 600 grams per square metre, and outdoors a very broad, highly condition-dependent range of 500 to 2,000 grams per plant. Such yield figures should be understood as breeder values under suitable conditions, not as a reliable guarantee.
Cannabinoids, flowering & appearance
In terms of aroma, Black Bomb combines pronounced sweetness with earthy notes and a long-lasting flavour. The original text recommends curing the harvested flowers for at least two weeks. The effects are described there as notably heavy, relaxing and typically indica-dominant. The stated THC value of 19 percent also depends on the batch and phenotype. Historically, the profile records a third-place award in the organic indoor category at the 2012 Cannabis Cup of Asociación Cannábica M.F.
