Editorial profile

CBD MediHaze in detail

Origin & classification

CBD MediHaze was introduced by CBD Crew as a CBD-rich new release in 2013. Its genetic foundation combines Super Silver Haze with the classic Neville's Haze; the line was then further bred with CBD parents. The normalized family tree shows only the two Haze lines and omits this later enrichment step. The strain is described as approximately twenty percent Indica and eighty percent Sativa.

Aroma & flavour

Despite its clearly Sativa-dominant heritage, CBD MediHaze is not supposed to stretch excessively when cultivated appropriately. Nine to ten weeks are stated for flowering under a twelve-hour light cycle. Outdoors in the Northern Hemisphere, the source describes possible completion around mid-October. A breeder-specific indoor reference yield of 450 to 550 grams per square metre under 600 watts is given. A considerable part of the flower weight is said to develop only during the later flowering stage, which must be taken into account when assessing plant development.

Terpene profile

The tested offspring are described as having a ratio of at least approximately one to one between CBD and THC; many are said to reach up to two parts CBD to one part THC. The source gives average values of around four percent THC and eight percent CBD. These figures and ratios depend on the batch and phenotype and must not be understood as a fixed composition for every plant. The core of the source is a CBD-dominant to approximately balanced profile, not a guaranteed laboratory value.

Effect tendency

Sensorically, CBD MediHaze has a clear herbal and spicy character. Spicy and pine-like impressions meet menthol and mint. After a longer maturation of the flowers, the breeder describes the smoking experience as particularly smooth; this is a processing-dependent assessment and not an immutable strain characteristic. No detailed terpene profile is available, so the cool aromatic character is not attributed to any single terpene. CBD MediHaze is therefore well characterized by its Haze-dominant heritage, stretch described as more manageable than expected, late weight gain, nine- to ten-week flowering period and distinctive spicy-mint aroma. Medical potential claims from the original source are deliberately excluded from the public profile.
