Editorial profile

Crockett's Haze in detail

Origin & classification

Crockett's Haze was bred by Crockett Family Farms and combines Rare Haze with The Ranger. The cross preserves the elegant, open structure of classic Haze plants, while aiming to bring their very long maturation period into a more manageable window and increase both resin production and flower stability. We classify Crockett's Haze as a sativa-dominant hybrid.

Aroma & flavour

Its aroma opens brightly with freshly cut lemons and sweet tropical fruit. Spicy incense, cedarwood and a herbal Haze finish follow, while subtle pine notes also emerge in the flavour. Terpinolene is described as the dominant terpene, accompanied by beta-caryophyllene, myrcene and limonene. Actual concentrations can vary considerably between plants and cultivation conditions.

Terpene profile

The effects are often described as fast-onset, clear and energetic. Sharpened sensory impressions, an elevated mood and creative alertness are frequently mentioned, while heavy sedation is considered atypical. Nevertheless, sensitive individuals may experience high-THC Sativa profiles as overstimulating. The course and intensity depend on individual tolerance, quantity and the respective batch.

Effect tendency

THC is reported at a range of approximately 18 to 24 percent; CBD is said to be below 0.1 percent. These measurement ranges should not be understood as fixed values for every flower. Botanically, Crockett's Haze displays narrow fan leaves, wide internodes and pronounced stretching during the transition to flowering. Instead of round, very compact buds, it produces long, pointed spear colas with swollen calyxes and a fine layer of glassy trichomes.

Cannabinoids, flowering & appearance

The open structure improves light penetration and air movement, but requires active height control indoors. Topping, low-stress or more intensive training, and trellis nets are mentioned for guiding the long branches. Many phenotypes stretch strongly at the beginning of flowering; a rarer expression remains somewhat shorter and matures faster. Both are said to retain the characteristic clarity of citrus and incense.

Further classification

Flowering usually takes nine to ten weeks. Yield potential is described as medium to high, without a reliable gram figure. Warm, dry to moderate conditions suit the tall-growing type; because of its pronounced stretch, intermediate to advanced experience is recommended. Crockett's Haze therefore represents a classic counterpoint to heavy Fuel and Cookie hybrids: tall, open and spear-shaped, with a dry resin structure and a clear aroma of lemon, tropical fruit, wood and Haze incense.
