Hybrid strain

Destroyer

Destroyer is a Sativa developed by Cannabiogen through several years of backcrossing. Meao Thai was crossed with an early-flowering, stable Mexico/Colombia line. The strain produces numerous smaller, heavily frosted flowers and is described with citrus and lavender notes as well as a high-flying, energetic effect.

Destroyer in detail

Origins & classification

According to Cannabiogen, more than seven years of breeding work went into Destroyer. The starting point was Meao Thai, whose exotic character was intended to be preserved. Because fully integrating the Thai mother proved difficult, a faster-flowering yet productive Mexico/Colombia line was incorporated. The source then describes a backcross with two selected female plants. Destroyer is therefore not simply a generic blend of three origins, but the result of a longer selection process.

Aroma & flavour

The breeding is explicitly presented as pure Sativa, although the current strain data lists it under the general Hybrid category. In its growth and flower formation, it displays the Thai dominance emphasised by the source. Instead of fewer massive flowers, it produces numerous rather small flowers that can be densely covered with trichomes. A breeder-specific count mentions an especially high trichome density in individual specimens. Since this is an isolated observation rather than a standardised strain value, it is better understood as an indication of heavy frosting than as an exact general figure.

Terpene profile

During flowering, the source recommends a dry environment and restrained fertilisation. Nitrogen in particular should not be supplied excessively. Destroyer is also mentioned for SOG and SCROG methods. Yields are considered medium to high outdoors and somewhat lower indoors; reliable absolute quantities are not available. These details come from the specific Cannabiogen version and should not be transferred uncritically to lines with the same name from other providers.

Effect tendency

In the detailed description, flowering time varies between approximately eight and twelve weeks depending on conditions. In addition, 60 to 75 days indoors and approximately the beginning of November for the outdoor harvest are stated. The general strain-data value of nine to ten weeks therefore represents only a shortened version of this range. Location, phenotype and cultivation practices can have a significant influence on the completion of ripening in a Sativa like this.

Cannabinoids, flowering & appearance

In terms of aroma, the English source description mentions sharp citrus notes and lavender. The effect profile is characterised as high-flying, energetic and clearly head-focused. A THC range mentioned there was not incorporated consistently into the strain data and is therefore omitted from the public text. Reliably documented, however, are the long breeding history, Meao Thai dominance, strong trichome production, variable flowering period and the combination of citrus, lavender and an activating Sativa effect.
