Lemonessence: Origin and characteristics

White Taffi with Gelonade

Lemonessence comes from White Taffi and Gelonade. Duke of Doja, also known as Duke of Erb, releases the feminized seed line with Doja Seeds. White Taffi appears in several other crosses within the programme, paired with different direct parents in each.

Connections to neighbouring lines

Red Taffi combines White Taffi with Lemon Cherry Gelato, while Confetti uses Mochi Gelato. Gelonade is the second parent in Lemonessence. The cultivar therefore has its own direct ancestry despite sharing the Taffi foundation. Its structure is medium in height, with flowering around eight weeks.
