Living organic worm humus from Austria
Good soil needs more than fertiliser. Our Alpenwurm organic worm humus comes from a specialist worm farm in Austria. Compost worms turn organic material into fine, crumbly humus with natural nutrients and valuable microbiology.
The humus is not heat-sterilised. Its natural soil life is preserved. This adds a biologically active humus component to your potting soil rather than just individual nutrients.
What it adds to your soil
- Support soil life: Microorganisms and organic matter support the natural processes in the soil.
- Retain moisture: The fine humus structure helps store water and distribute it evenly.
- Improve used soil: Add organic matter and a mild nutrient base for your next planting.
- Easy to incorporate: The humus is screened to 5 mm and can be mixed evenly into soil or worked into the surface.
For your plants and your soil mix
For vegetables, flowers and houseplants, we use worm humus as an addition to potting soil and as a component of our own Living Soil mixes. It is not a ready-to-use potting soil and is mixed with the other ingredients. You can find suitable quantities under Application & Dosage.
