Frequently asked questions

Why can I hardly see any predatory mites?

The mites are tiny. A magnifying glass helps with inspection. A lack of visible movement alone does not tell you whether they are alive. Do not open the sachet to inspect it.

What is crawling on the outside of the sachet?

These may be feeder mites. They provide food for the predatory mites and are part of the breeding system. Not every visible mite is a predatory mite.

When should I check or replenish them?

Monitor live pests and new damage. Existing leaf damage does not disappear. If the infestation increases, consider suitable additional measures promptly.

Reassess after about four weeks and replenish if pests remain. Do not wait for the planned sachet replacement if damage is increasing.

Fresh dispatch of live beneficial organisms

We prepare our beneficial organisms fresh for dispatch after your order and ship them directly from Germany.

Regular dispatch takes place from Monday to Thursday to avoid unnecessary storage time in transit.

In extremely high or low temperatures, dispatch may be postponed to protect the live organisms.

Please use the products as soon as possible after receipt, following the respective application instructions.

Anwendung & Dosierung

Place at least one sachet on every isolated plant. Use several positions on large or densely foliated plants. For connected plant canopies, use at least one sachet per 2.5 m² of planted area as a minimum guide. This does not refer to room size.

Choose 3, 5 or 10 sachets. Plant species, size, climate and infestation level determine the actual requirement. A heavy infestation may require additional measures.

Hold the hanger and suspend the sachet in sheltered foliage near the infestation. Do not squeeze it. Avoid direct sunlight, intense lighting and splashing water.

Leave the sachet closed. An exit hole is already present. Do not cut it open or empty it. Predatory mites reproduce inside and move onto the plant over several weeks.

100 predatory mites of the species Neoseiulus californicus per breeding sachet, plus feeder mites as food and bran as carrier material.

You receive the selected number of sachets. The mite count refers to one sachet, not the entire pack.

Verwendung

Suitable conditions

Air temperature: 13-32 °C. Relative humidity: from 60%. Apply early, before spider mites spread extensively.

Do not apply to tomatoes. Breeding sachets alone may not be sufficient for an established heavy infestation.

Rechtlicher Hinweis

Live beneficial organisms. Apply as soon as possible after receipt. Not for consumption.

Check compatibility with previously used plant protection products, neem products, oils and sprays before application. Residues can also harm beneficial organisms. The required waiting period depends on the product used.
