Why we created the CannaSelection CSC Finder

With the CannaSelection CSC Finder, we are creating an objective overview of Cannabis Social Clubs, cultivation associations and regional listings in Germany.

The background is simple: The CSC landscape is developing rapidly. Many clubs are still being established, some are already visible, while others have a website, social media profiles or public association information. For interested parties, regional stakeholders and the clubs themselves, it is often difficult to maintain an overview.

This is precisely where our listing comes in.

The CannaSelection CSC Finder is intended to present public information in a structured, neutral and comprehensible way. The aim is not to advertise or highlight individual clubs. It is about orientation, transparency and data quality.

What the CSC Listing is

The CSC Listing is a neutral information directory within the CannaSelection Finder.

An entry may contain, for example, the following information:

• Name of the club or association
• City, region or federal state
• Official website or public contact option
• Brief objective description
• Logo, if provided or approved by the club
• Admission status or waiting list notice, if provided
• Notice of whether an entry has been confirmed by the club

An entry expressly does not mean that CannaSelection recommends, advertises, brokers or sponsors this club.

The listing works similarly to other public overviews in the CSC sector: The German Hemp Association also refers to overviews of approved cultivation associations and describes the importance of transparency and orientation in the CSC sector.

What the CSC Listing is not

The CannaSelection CSC Finder is deliberately not an advertising platform.

We do not offer:

• paid premium listings,
• rankings,
• club reviews,
• sponsorship placements,
• recommendations of individual clubs,
• brokering of memberships,
• paid promotional highlighting.

Listings in the CSC section are free of charge. Taking over, correcting or updating an entry is also free of charge.

Our goal is:

Neutral. Free of charge. Editorially reviewed.

Why the legal distinction matters to us

The German Cannabis Act contains a general ban on advertising and sponsorship for cannabis and cultivation associations. Section 6 KCanG makes clear that advertising and any form of sponsorship for cannabis and cultivation associations are prohibited.

That is why it is crucial to us that the CSC Finder does not function like advertising. We avoid promotional language, superlatives, incentives to consume, membership appeals and paid highlighting.

An information sheet from the State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Care of Rhineland-Palatinate assesses the issue in a differentiated manner: Finding cultivation associations is said to be unavoidable in achieving the objectives of partial legalization. Websites for informational purposes and publications on social websites may therefore be tolerated if they contain objective, sober and unobtrusive information. Accepted content includes contact details, legal notice, bylaws, fee regulations, admission procedures, statutory notices and information about cultivation.

The Darmstadt Regional Council also points out that a cultivation association’s online presence should be limited to objective information, such as its name, location and general documents.

This is exactly the principle we follow: objective information instead of promotional presentation.

Important: We do not provide legal advice and cannot provide a legal guarantee for individual entries. However, we take care to implement the Finder as neutrally, transparently and sensitively to legal requirements as possible.

Why a customer account is required

A regular CannaSelection customer account is required to submit, take over or update a CSC entry.

There are several reasons for this:

First, it allows us to clearly assign an entry to a responsible contact. Second, changes can be reviewed and approved more effectively. Third, a club can update its entry later without having to start completely from scratch each time.

The process is therefore always fundamentally the same:

1. You create a regular CannaSelection customer account or log in.
2. In your customer account, open the Profile / CSC Portal / CSC Finder section.
3. There, you can either suggest a new entry or select an existing entry for management.
4. Add information, a logo, media or brief proof of authorization.
5. CannaSelection reviews the submission before publication or approval.

The starting points may vary. You can start via the CSC overview, reach the process through a city or regional page, or go directly through your customer account. Technically, however, management always takes place through the customer account.

This also protects the clubs: Public entries cannot be changed anonymously or without oversight.

Why clubs should review their entry

Many clubs will be found online sooner or later—via search engines, social media, other lists, press reports or public association information. Data can quickly become outdated or be copied incorrectly.

A confirmed entry at CannaSelection helps keep your own presentation accurate.

A club can, for example, check or add:

• whether the name is spelled correctly,
• whether the city, region or federal state is correct,
• whether the correct website is listed,
• whether the public contact method is appropriate,
• whether a logo should be added,
• whether the admission status is correct,
• whether certain information should be removed.

A confirmed entry does not mean that CannaSelection recommends the club. It only means that the information was submitted or confirmed by the responsible club contact.

What information we deliberately do not publish

We clearly distinguish between regional orientation and sensitive information.

A city, region or federal state can be useful for a directory. Without regional classification, a CSC overview would be difficult to use.

However, we do not publish sensitive cultivation, storage or distribution locations unless they are officially public knowledge or have been expressly approved for publication by the club.

We also do not publish member data, private contact details or internal documents that are not intended for the public.

Our principle is:

As much information as necessary, as little sensitive detail as possible.

What happens after a submission?

New entries and changes are not published automatically. Every submission is editorially reviewed.

Among other things, we check whether:

• the information is plausible,
• the presentation remains objective,
• no promotional language is used,
• no sensitive information is published,
• the website or contact details are verifiable,
• a connection to the club is evident for administrative requests.

If anything is unclear, a follow-up question may be necessary. Only after review will an entry be published, updated or approved for management.

For clubs we have contacted

If you have received an email from CannaSelection about your club, it concerns precisely this transparent process.

There are two typical cases:

Either your club is already listed in the Finder as a publicly researched basic entry. In that case, we would like to give you the opportunity to review or correct the information or request management access.

Or your club is not yet listed. In that case, we would like to inform you that you can suggest an objective entry free of charge.

In both cases, the following applies:

• The entry is free of charge.
• It is not sponsorship.
• It is not an advertising placement.
• Changes are reviewed.
• You can request corrections to inaccurate information.
• You can request management access through your customer account.
• You can let us know if you do not wish to be listed.

Our goal is not to incorporate clubs into an advertising structure without their consent. Our goal is a neutral, well-maintained and transparent directory.

Why this is also helpful for visitors

For visitors, the CSC Finder provides better orientation. Instead of checking scattered search results, social media profiles and incomplete information individually, they can find information about available regional listings in one place.

The presentation deliberately remains objective. The Finder is not intended to encourage membership, highlight any club or influence consumption decisions.

It is intended to show which entries are publicly known, which region they belong to and whether the information has been confirmed by the club.

Our conclusion

The CannaSelection CSC Finder is our contribution to greater structure and transparency in the German CSC sector.

We do not want to advertise clubs.
We do not want to broker memberships.
We do not want to create a sponsorship model.
We do not want to create a ranking.

We want to create a free, neutral and editorially reviewed information directory that gives clubs greater control over their public presentation and enables visitors to gain objective orientation.

Anyone wishing to list a club, take over an existing entry or update information can start via the CSC overview or their regular CannaSelection customer account. Management then always takes place through the protected customer account area.
