Critical Cheese in detail
Origin & classification
Dinafem developed Critical Cheese from Critical+ and Cheese to combine two lines with particularly pronounced aroma and flavour. The feminized strain is clearly described as indica-dominant in the source description. The structured data set, however, lists “Sativa-dominant”, while the lineage only lists Cheese. Both fields must be aligned with the coherent breeder description.
Aroma & flavour
The aroma is strong and combines cheese with lemon, pine and a perfume-like note. Towards the end of flowering, particularly during the final two weeks, the smell is said to become very intense. Dinafem therefore recommends an odour filter for indoor spaces. Specific terpenes are not documented, so no reliable chemical composition should be inferred from the aromatic notes.
Terpene profile
According to the breeder description, the plant is considered easy to cultivate and produces large, heavy, compact buds heavily covered in resin. Indoors, it is said to perform well with various cultivation methods; SCROG is specifically highlighted, while growth control is also recommended. Outdoors, Dinafem names a mild continental climate or a greenhouse as a suitable setting. These notes refer to the breeder-specific version and are not a general guarantee.
Effects
Indoor flowering is given as 55 to 60 days, corresponding to approximately eight to nine weeks. Outdoors, harvest is dated from late September to early October. Dinafem gives reference yields of 600 grams per square metre indoors and 700 to 1.300 grams per plant outdoors. Actual yields depend heavily on the environment, plant size and cultivation management. The strain took third place at the Secret Cup 2016 in Naples in the category of strains presented by seed banks.
Cannabinoids, flowering & appearance
The source describes the effects as strong, long-lasting, head-focused, stimulating and euphoric. Individual responses may differ. The data sheet lists 19 percent THC and 0,3 percent CBD; in the master data set, these values are evidently reversed. Even correct values remain dependent on batch and phenotype. Critical Cheese therefore has a well-documented profile of Critical+-Cheese heritage, an intense cheese-citrus-pine aroma, compact resinous flowers and a comparatively short photoperiod flowering period.
