Editorial profile
Guava Berry Kush in detail
Origin & classification
Guava Berry Kush, also called Guayita in the source, was developed by Philosopher Seeds from Guayaba and Juanita la Lagrimosa. Guayaba is in turn described as having a background of ChemDog, Afghani and Chem #91. The cross was intended to combine American-influenced genetics with the fruity citrus side of Juanita la Lagrimosa. The public family tree should nevertheless remain with the directly stated parents, Guayaba and Juanita la Lagrimosa.
Aroma & flavour
The breeder describes the plants as stable, compact and indica-influenced. Characteristic features are said to include broad, deep-green leaves, little lateral branching and a strong central bud. This uniform structure is explicitly associated with suitability for Sea of Green. Towards the end of flowering, relatively little leaf material is said to remain on the flowers, which may make trimming easier.
Terpene profile
For cultivation, the source mentions indoor and outdoor environments. The strain is considered productive, undemanding in nutrient uptake and adaptable to changing climatic conditions. Regular watering during flowering is specifically mentioned at temperatures above 25 degrees. Resistance to pests and diseases, as well as tolerance of lower temperatures, are also breeder claims, not guarantees for every location.
Effect tendency
The aroma profile combines powerful earthy tones with a sweet berry note. Kush nuances and a lingering, sweetened guava flavour are also present. The source additionally describes fruity citrus nuances from Juanita la Lagrimosa. Together, this creates a profile that does not conceal the earth and Kush spice, but combines them with guava, berry and citrus.
Cannabinoids, flowering & appearance
The effect is described as strong and distinctly relaxing. The figurative statement that it envelops body and soul in a bubble suggests a comprehensive, calm impression. This remains a subjective breeder description and is not a guaranteed effect.
Further classification
A flowering time of 50 to 60 days is given for indoor cultivation; outdoors, the described ripening period in the Northern Hemisphere is around mid-October. Cannabinoid and yield figures from the data sheet depend on phenotype, batch and conditions. In particular, the statement about very high CBD concentrations “in most phenotypes” should not be generalised into a fixed value for every plant.
